Job summary

Anderson Air is seeking an Accountant with a strong focus on full cycle accounting to join our on-site team in Canada. You will work closely with the Financial Controller, handling AP, AR, and project/job costing while using Sage 50 to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Diploma in accounting, finance, math, or a related field
• Expert knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in full cycle accounting is highly desirable
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Working knowledge of Sage 50 or Simply Accounting preferred
• Self-motivated with a desire to continually learn and grow
• Eligible status to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Financial Controller, the individual will provide support to the accounting team to meet operational and reporting deadlines.
• Accounts Payable: Receive and record vendor invoices for the daily credit card transactions; Contact vendor for any discrepancy; File invoices and receipts
• Accounts Receivable: Issue invoices for flights, maintenance work orders, and other services; Prepare detailed reports related to AR activities and reconcile discrepancies; Communicate with clients in a professional manner
• Project and Job Costing: Update monthly project costings for flights and other operations; Track and report on direct and indirect costs associated with projects; Other projects as assigned from time to time

The Role

We are seeking an Accountant with a strong focus on full cycle accounting to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow within a fast-paced, client-focused environment while contributing directly to our operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

In this on-site position, you'll work closely with the Financial Controller, taking responsibility for AP activities such as daily credit card transactions and payment reconciliations, charter and private flight billing, and project/job costing. You will leverage your familiarity with Sage 50 and expertise in accounting fundamentals to meet tight operational and reporting deadlines while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
