Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced project manager to own capital projects from idea through start-up at Englehart OSB mill. You’ll lead end-to-end initiatives, mentor junior staff and shape how engineering works on site, with opportunity to advance to lead the site engineering team.

This on-site role in Englehart, Ontario requires relocation willingness, as well as ~5% travel. You’ll collaborate with operations, EHS, procurement and engineering to deliver safe, compliant, high-value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial operations.
• 3+ years leading capital projects through full lifecycle with safety, cost and schedule accountability.
• Demonstrated people leadership; formal supervisory title not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate, develop and deliver capital projects from ideation through start-up.
• Challenge scope, evaluate alternatives, and re-scope for value.
• Lead through influence across operations, maintenance, EHS, procurement and vendors.
• Set safety standards and ensure environmental compliance across projects.
• Develop estimates, schedules, manage risk, and report to leadership.
• Shape multi-year capital plans with plant management.
• Coach and mentor an early-career project manager.
• Be the face of engineering with operators, crews, contractors and partners.
