Job summary

Bimbo Canada is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead capital projects across the Ontario region, from planning through closure. You will coordinate internal and external teams, manage CAPEX, and drive process improvements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on delivering engineering solutions, budgeting, and collaboration across plants, with travel in the GTA, national and international scope as needed. Competitive salary and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and experience managing large capital projects.
• Membership in a professional engineering association preferred.
• Ability to travel throughout the GTA, with occasional national and international travel.
• 5–7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Food industry experience preferred.
• PMP certification considered an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, organization, control, and execution of engineering projects.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop business cases with budgets, timelines, and scope; align with other departments.
• Coordinate bidding for equipment/services; support vendor selection.
• Manage installation, commissioning, and overhaul activities at production facilities.
• Build relationships with OEMs, vendors, and contractors for project execution.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, safety, and company policies.
