Job summary

Town of Oakville is seeking an experienced Transit Supervisor for On Demand Services. You will supervise staff delivering specialized transit and on-demand services, manage scheduling, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and high service standards.

You will oversee bookings, dispatch, and call center operations while adapting to changing demand, shifts, and priorities across a seven-day operation. Strong leadership and transit knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Three-year college diploma or university degree in business administration or related field.
• Exposure to transit operations and service delivery is an asset.

Responsibilities

• As Transit Supervisor, On Demand Services, supervise day-to-day staff delivering specialized transit and on-demand services.
• Schedule work and review performance in accordance with union contracts and policies.
• Respond to inquiries, incidents, and complaints; take corrective actions as required.
• Train staff to perform duties safely and use health and safety equipment.
• Oversee customer trip bookings, dispatching, and resource allocation for on-demand services.
• Monitor demand growth and forecast impact on budget and staffing.
• Utilize technology to monitor service delivery and improve resource deployment.
• Oversee Call Center service delivery ensuring service levels and customer satisfaction.
