Job summary

Fueling Brains Academy is seeking On-Call Early Childhood Educators to provide classroom coverage across multiple Calgary campuses. You will create a safe, engaging environment and support children through daily routines and learning experiences.

Ideal candidates have Alberta ECE certification and a genuine passion for working with children. This on-call role offers flexibility, exposure to different ages, and opportunities to work with our pedagogy leaders in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Alberta Early Childhood Educator certification (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
• Previous experience in childcare or early learning environment is preferred.
• Reliability, flexibility and strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to adapt confidently to different classrooms, age groups and teaching teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage based on campus staffing needs and availability.
• Create a safe, caring and engaging environment for children.
• Support children through daily routines, transitions and learning experiences.
• Encourage children's independence, creativity and social-emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers and campus leadership.
• Support developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
• Assist children with self-care routines as required.
• Maintain appropriate classroom supervision and health and safety procedures.

Fueling Brains Academy is looking for reliable and enthusiastic On-Call Early Childhood Educators to support our teams across multiple Calgary campuses.

This is a great opportunity for educators who enjoy flexibility, want exposure to different classroom environments, or are looking to build their experience within Fueling Brains Academy.

When you apply, you will be able to select the campus or campuses you are interested in working at. You may choose one location or multiple locations based on your availability and preferred commute.

What You'll Do:

• Provide classroom coverage based on campus staffing needs and your availability.
• Create a safe, caring and engaging environment for children.
• Support children through daily routines, transitions and learning experiences.
• Encourage children's independence, creativity and social-emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers and campus leadership.
• Support developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
• Assist children with self-care routines, including dressing, feeding and diapering where required.
• Maintain appropriate classroom supervision and follow all health and safety procedures.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Assist with other classroom responsibilities as required.

What You Bring:

• Alberta Early Childhood Educator certification (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
• Previous experience working with children in a childcare or early learning environment is preferred.
• A genuine passion for working with children.
• Reliability, flexibility and strong communication skills.
• Ability to adapt confidently to different classrooms, age groups and teaching teams.
• Reggio Emilia-inspired, Montessori or play-based learning experience is an asset.
• Current First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it prior to commencing employment.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, or willingness to obtain one as required.
