Medicine Hat Public School Division is seeking qualified Substitute Teachers to work on a casual, on-call basis across the Division. The role requires a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate and a Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education.

Substitute teachers are expected to fulfill the duties of teachers, arrive early for sessions, attend staff meetings, and provide a brief post-day summary. Criminal Records Check is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education is required.
• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate is required.

Responsabilités

• Arrive at the assigned school at least fifteen (15) minutes before morning and afternoon assemblies to ensure a smooth start.
• Report to the school office upon arrival to receive instructions for the day.
• Take on supervisory responsibilities as directed by the Principal.
• Attend staff meetings if requested by the Principal.
• Leave a brief written summary for the absent teacher, highlighting work completed and any important notes.
• Check out at the office at the end of the teaching day.
