Job summary

Medicine Hat Public School Division is seeking Casual / Substitute Educational Assistants for the 2026-2027 school year to support students across the division.

Main duties include working with students with specialized medical, cognitive, or behavioural needs. Experience with diverse needs, lifts and transfers, and life skills is an asset. Applicants must provide a police record check with vulnerable sector check, an intervention record check, and a physical demands assessment.

Qualifications

• Candidates with Early Childhood Educator Certification are encouraged to apply.
• Police record check with vulnerable sector check, an intervention record check, and a physical demands assessment are required.
• Experience with students with diverse needs (medical, cognitive or behavioral) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supporting students with specialized medical, cognitive, or behavioural needs.
• Implement and follow through on Medical and Behaviour Support Plans.
• Work on a casual on-call basis, with potential temporary assignments when available.
