Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Co of Canada, Limited is seeking a on-call Snow Plow Operator in Brantford, Ontario for the upcoming winter season. The role is seasonal/contract, with duties including plowing snow at client sites and de-icing as needed, traveling to sites in Brantford area.

Pay is $25-30 per hour, with potential to transition to landscape team in spring. Requires 24/7 availability during snow events, a G class license, and ability to work outdoors in cold conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be available 24hrs/day, 7 days/week during snow/ice events.
• Experience with snowplow or skidsteer operation.
• G Class driver's license with clean abstract.
• Provide own warm winter clothing including CSA approved footwear.
• Reliable transportation to Brantford location.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to snow and ice event calls.
• Communicate before/after shifts.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Plow snow at client sites and de-ice as needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Record site service details and complete paperwork after shifts.
