Job summary

CAE in Montreal is seeking a local Second-in-Command Mentor (SCM) to support clients during simulator training. You will provide right-seat assistance, uphold CRM standards, and participate in a robust training program to qualify for a flight-deck role.

This on‑call, fixed‑term position requires CPL/ATPL, MEL and instrument ratings, and the ability to commit to several weeks of initial training. You’ll work with CAE’s training teams under TC, FAA, EASA and other authorities to deliver a

Qualifications

• Licensing requirements for pilot уровня (CPL/ATPL).
• MEL and instrument ratings required for multi‑engine operations.
• Minimum flight hours and regulatory examination milestones.
• Ability to conduct a high volume of simulator events monthly.
• Resident of the Greater Montreal Area and flexible on work hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide right‑seat support in the simulator to clients.
• Support training under TC, FAA Part 91/135, EASA, and other NAAs.
• Maintain proficiency as a qualified crew member even without a type rating.
• Provide seat support during simulator evaluation events.
• Deliver a professional, safe, and customer‑focused training experience.
• Work in a collaborative team environment.
