Job summary

Ontario Public Service (Quinte Detention Centre) is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse on a casual, irregular on‑call basis. You will work with an inter‑professional team to provide nursing care, manage medications, and document health information for patients in custody.

This role supports rehabilitation and community re‑entry goals. We welcome compassionate RPNs registered in Ontario, with flexibility for rotating shifts and on‑call duties.

Qualifications

• You are currently registered in good standing as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Knowledge of professional standards, guidelines, and relevant legislation such as the RHPA and Health Care Consent Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in stable health and with predictable outcomes.
• Prepare and administer medications and monitor their effects.
• Maintain accurate medical records and charts.
• Respond to emergencies and urgent care as needed.
• Work with an inter‑professional health care team to deliver care.
