Job summary

St. Margaret’s School is seeking an energetic Educational Assistant to provide educational support to students.

The role works with the Learning Support Coordinator, enrichment specialists, classroom teachers, and staff to address academic, social, and emotional diversity within the classroom. Minimum post-secondary training as an Education Assistant is required, with specialization in Special Education considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering curriculum and adapting methods.
• Support learners with various needs including exceptionalities, mental health, and care needs.
• Plan activities with learning support and classroom teachers addressing diverse needs.
• Support individual students and groups within the classroom.
• Attend weekly learning support meetings and school activities.
• Maintain regular communication with teachers, support staff, and leadership.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
