Job summary

Edge School is seeking an Educational Assistant to support teachers and students across Grade 4-12 programs. The role involves assisting with instructional and non-instructional tasks, working as part of the student support team, and providing targeted help to individual students under direction of teachers and principals.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, an Educational Assistant Certificate (or similar), and related experience; First Aid is an asset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Educational Assistant Certificate are preferred.
• First Aid certificate would be an asset.
• Experience as an Educational Assistant in a school setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks in the classroom and with school activities.
• Work as a member of the student support team providing instructional support.
• Assist the student (or small group) in acquiring skills through an individually prescribed learning program.
• Engage in routine recording, basic charting and logging of observations.
