Reporting to the Principal or designate, the role involves assisting staff with instructional and personal care tasks, supervising students, and supporting social-emotional learning as needed. Training and flexibility are valued.

Qualifikationen

• Education Assistant certificate or diploma required.
• POPARD course or equivalent.
• CPI certification preferred/required.
• Food Safe certification may be required.
• Class 5 BC driver’s licence may be needed.
• Emergency First Aid certification required.

Aufgaben

• Assist professional staff in implementing programs for students.
• Supervise students in classroom, on school grounds, and during field trips.
• Provide social-emotional learning support and facilitate peer connections.
• Assist with noon-hour supervision and on occasion transport students.
• Prepare instructional materials as directed by teachers or learning support staff.
• Provide personal care and support for student health and safety under supervision.
• Contribute to Individualized Education Plans and participate in professional development.
