Job summary

Qualicum School District is seeking a on-call Child and Youth Care Worker to support students across the district. The role involves guidance, intervention, and social-emotional support within the School-Based Team and with families.

Qualifications

• Degree in Child and Youth Care with practicum completed.
• One year of related experience including group support.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and social-emotional supports to students and families.
• Collaborate with school-based and district teams to design interventions.
• Intervene in crisis situations and develop appropriate strategies.
• Coordinate with outside agencies as directed by administration.
• May assist with school meals programs and field trips.
