Capilano University’s Children’s Centre seeks an on-call Early Childhood Educator to care for children aged 0–5. You will contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment and work with Centre staff and students to implement the BC Early Learning Framework.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and engagement with Indigenous knowledge within a university setting on the North Vancouver campus. Hours vary, up to 35 per week, with potential evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Early Childhood Education diploma program (which includes the Early Childhood Education certificate, Special Needs Education license and/or Infant/Toddler Education license).
• Current Early Childhood Educator Certificate (ECE Registry BC) is required.

Responsabilités

• Organize and deliver the Child Care Centre programs.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for 0–5 year olds.
• Collaborate with Indigenous knowledge in play and programming.
• Support a play-based, family-centred early care environment.
• Provide indoor/outdoor activities balancing active and quiet play.
