Job summary

Autism Services in Canada is seeking an experienced truck driver to support our logistics operations. You will plan routes using GPS devices to minimize fuel consumption and emissions, while delivering professional customer service.

Responsibilities include pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections, recording cargo information and hours of service, and transporting hazardous goods when required. We value reliability, attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active Class 1 or A driver's license required.
• Air Brake (Z) endorsement required.
• Experience with GPS/navigation and route planning.
• Ability to transport hazardous materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes to minimize fuel use and emissions.

• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Professionalism in customer service
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
