Job summary

Gtrworldwide is seeking a skilled Heating Systems Installer/Technician to install, maintain, and repair oil and solid fuel heating systems in residential and light commercial settings. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation per codes.

The role requires experience with oil-fired/solid fuel equipment, ability to use diagnostic tools, and strong safety and customer service skills.

Qualifications

Secondary school diploma or equivalent is required.
Completion of recognized apprenticeship in heating/HVAC or related trade, or equivalent experience.
Experience with oil-fired and solid fuel heating equipment.
Ability to operate diagnostic and combustion testing equipment and standard tools.
Knowledge of safety practices, codes and regulations.
Mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
Strong safety, precision and quality workmanship.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Install oil and solid fuel boilers, furnaces, stoves per specs and manuals.
Inspect and clean burners, chambers, flues, chimneys for safe operation.
Diagnose problems with testing instruments and perform repairs.
Perform preventive maintenance and efficiency tuning.
Read drawings and complete service reports and documentation.
Advise clients on operation, maintenance and upgrades while complying with codes.
