Job summary

CenerTech Canada Ltd. is seeking Process Operators to join our Oil Sands operations. This safety-sensitive role is based in Fort McMurray with a 14 on – 14 off schedule (days and nights).

You will ensure safe and efficient operation of plant process equipment and collaborate with Maintenance, Technical, HSE and Social Responsibility teams within the Oilsands Division. Ideal candidates hold an inter-provincial 4th class Power Engineering certificate and have at least 5 years' plant/field

Qualifications

• Inter-provincial 4th class Power Engineering certificate valid for Alberta.
• Minimum of 5 years of plant/field experience.
• Experience supporting operations, technical and maintenance teams.
• Ability to comprehend a situation and identify underlying causes.
• Legally permitted to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Adhering and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Applying and developing equipment lockouts.
• Issuing and managing safe work permits.
• Environmental stewardship.
• Operate equipment within established parameters per procedures.
• Support unit operations and equipment requirements including turnover and start-of-shift orientation.
• Communicating between the Control Room Operator (CRO) and on shift operator.
• Run to Target, report deviations and escalate to Maintenance/Technical/Production as needed.
• Participate in and complete required training to achieve competency.
• Adhere to Drug and Alcohol Policy.
