Tourmaline Oil Corp. is seeking a motivated Accounting Co-op Student or recent graduate to join our Finance & Accounting team as an Equalization and Joint Venture Audit Analyst in Calgary.

This role offers hands-on experience in operations accounting, JV audits, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration – Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Previous accounting work experience is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• The preparation, analysis, and review of operated equalizations and 13th month adjustments.
• Analyze and process non-operated equalization and 13th month adjustment invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support the planning and execution of non-operated joint venture audits, including data gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Perform data analysis, account reconciliations, and accounting research using Excel and accounting systems.
• Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and joint venture agreements.
• Investigate and resolve accounting, billing, and partner-related inquiries by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Maintain organized accounting records, supporting documentation, and audit files.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and controls within accounting processes.
• Support special projects, reporting requirements, and ad hoc analyses as required.
