Job summary

Honey Badger Charging in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a highly organized Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our office and help ensure the team runs smoothly and efficiently.

This onsite role covers office administration, supplies, vendor management, meeting and events coordination, onboarding support, and various operational projects in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: 8:30AM - 5PM, full-time, onsite at our downtown Vancouver offices.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or higher required.
  • 2–3 years of executive or office management experience.
  • Experience with cloud apps and Android apps (WhatsApp, Google Apps, Box, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Slack).
  • Valid BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize the office environment, including kitchen.
  • Order and manage office supplies and requests.
  • Run errands and drive the company car for exec lunches and tasks.
  • Maintain and coordinate company vehicles, including servicing, insurance, cleanliness and booking between staff.
  • Coordinate weekly team lunches, events, and client meetings.
  • Data entry and vendor follow-up by phone and email.
  • Be the gate keeper and answer our office line with a positive demeanor.
  • Schedule and book all required business travel for the sales team, including accommodations, flights, car rentals, and reservations.
  • Communicate with vendors for preferred rates on goods and services, while controlling expenses.
  • Track office expenditures and coordinate with the accounting team on invoices and receipts.

Honey Badger Charging is a smart electric vehicle charging solution based in Vancouver, British Columbia that is electrifying Canada's roads and supporting initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change. Pushing to electrify Canada's roads for a cleaner, greener future!

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and dependable Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our office and help ensure our team runs smoothly and efficiently. This role will manage office administration, supplies and vendors, coordinate meetings and events, support onboarding and employee needs, and assist with various operational and administrative projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, professional, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Full-time, onsite position, out of our offices in downtown Vancouver.

Hours: 8:30AM - 5PM

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and organize the office environment, with a particular focus on keeping the kitchen clean
  • Order and maintain all office supplies and fulfill related requests
  • Perform errands, including driving the company car for executive team lunches, office groceries, supplies runs and other ad hoc tasks
  • Maintenance and coordination of company vehicles, including servicing, insurance, cleanliness and booking between staff
  • Coordinate weekly team lunches, event planning, and client meetings
  • Perform data entry and follow up with vendors via phone and email
  • Be the point-of-contact for building and facilities, including fire warden duties
  • Schedule and book all required business travel for the sales team, including accommodations, flights, car rentals, and reservations
  • Communicate with vendors for preferred rates on goods and services, all whilst maintaining a mindset of prudent spending
  • Managing recognition of all birthdays, work anniversaries, and other meaningful life events, which includes reminders to the executive team and purchasing gifts
  • Schedule meetings with business vendors and occasional assistance to executive support team to help book family / personal appointments
  • Coordinate with other assistants in the support team to ensure tasks are complete in a timely fashion
  • Be the gate keeper and answer our office line with a positive demeanor
  • Keep track of office expenditures and coordinate with the accounting team on invoices and receipts
Required Attributes:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail is a must with the ability to articulate clearly

  • Adaptability to work in a constantly changing and highly demanding environment

Education and Experience:
  • An undergraduate degree or higher level of education
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of similar executive or office management experience
  • Comfortable using cloud and Android applications: WhatsApp, Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs,) Box, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and Slack
  • Valid BC Driver's License
