Job summary

Caressant Care is seeking an organized Office Assistant to support the Executive Team and operations across our Ontario long-term care and retirement homes.

This full-time role requires strong Microsoft Office skills, superb multitasking, and a professional communication style to handle confidential information with discretion. The incumbent works at the Head Office Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Office Administration, or related field is asset.
  • Previous experience in an administrative, office support, reception, or customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and comfort learning new office systems and technology.
  • Experience coordinating courier services, shipping and receiving, or Purolator services is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous telephone manner.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Provide a full range of administrative support to the Executive Team and operations.
  • Coordinate office tasks and deliveries to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain supplies and manage common office areas and documentation.
  • Support Caressant Care’s Care homes and head office with scheduling and communications.

Caressant Care is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented Office Assistant to provide a full range of administrative support and coordination to our Executive Team and the operations of our Long-Term Care and Retirement Homes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide helpful, professional service to employees, visitors, vendors, and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment, with the ability to anticipate office needs and resolve routine issues independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Dependable, flexible, and willing to assist with a variety of administrative and operational tasks as required.

The salary range is $48,000 - $50,000 based on experience and qualifications. The incumbent is required to work at the Head Office location Monday - Friday during regular business hours.
