Job summary

DMARehability, a Lifemark Health Group Company, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to expand clinical expertise beyond a traditional clinic setting in Windsor, Ontario. Join a team delivering rehabilitation in the community with autonomy, mentorship, and collaboration.

You will assess clients, develop individualized plans, and support return-to-work in diverse environments, including home and workplace, with a focus on independence and participation.

Qualifications

  • Registration and good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), or eligibility for registration.
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized program.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and communication skills.
  • A client-centred and collaborative approach to rehabilitation.
  • Ability to work independently within a community-based practice model.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle for community-based work, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments in community, home and workplace environments.
  • Develop and implement evidence-informed treatment and rehabilitation plans.
  • Complete functional, mobility, ergonomic and home-safety assessments.
  • Support clients with acquired brain injury, musculoskeletal injuries and other complex rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop return-to-work and functional restoration strategies.
  • Recommending equipment, assistive devices and environmental modifications where appropriate.
  • Collaborating with clients, families, employers, insurers, physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Preparing timely, high-quality clinical documentation and reports.
  • Managing your caseload with a high degree of professional autonomy while remaining connected to a supportive clinical team.

Your impact

As an Occupational Therapist with DMARehability, you will assess client needs, develop individualized rehabilitation plans, and support clients in achieving greater independence and participation in their daily lives.

Depending on your experience and caseload, your work may include:

What You Bring

Experience in community rehabilitation, auto insurance, acquired brain injury, functional assessment, catastrophic injury, disability management or return-to-work is an asset.
