St. Joseph’s Health System is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse for a fixed-term, part-time role across multiple Hamilton sites. The OHN will collaborate with the OH&S team to implement disease surveillance, health assessments, immunization programs, and disability management, ensuring a safe workplace.

Requires active CNO registration, BScN preferred, and COHN(C) certification. The role focuses on respiratory fitness, wellness promotion, and timely case management while maintaining strong

Qualificações

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
• A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Occupational Health Nursing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OH&S Act, WHS legislation, and MOHLTC guidelines.
• Strong assessment, health teaching and promotion skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage high-risk situations.

Responsabilidades

• Provide surveillance and management of communicable and blood-borne diseases.
• Lead health assessments including pre-placement referrals and immunization programs.
• Support absence management and disability coordination (STD/LTD/WSIB).
• Promote wellness and safety programs and employee well-being.
• Collaborate with OH&S team to respond to incidents and emergencies.

The roles and responsibilities of each team member are collaborative and support individual employees and the organization in the provision of a safe and healthy work environment.
