Position Summary:
The Occupational Health Nurse (OH&S) is a vital team member of the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) department. The roles and responsibilities of each team member are collaborative and support individual employees and the organization in the provision of a safe and healthy work environment. The OHN plays an integral role in the provision of the OH&S programs - communicable disease surveillance blood borne disease management absence management health assessments (pre-placement referrals respiratory fitness illness injury) health surveillance health teaching and promotion immunization disability management - STD LTD WSIB; work accommodation prevention of violence in the workplace as well as others.
