Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health System in Hamilton, ON is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse for the Medical Rehabilitation department. The role requires cross-training across Medical Rehabilitation and Complex Care and will cover day and night shifts at Charlton Campus (Hamilton Downtown).

The RN must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario, hold an RN Diploma, and maintain BCLS. Prior rehab experience and knowledge of chronic respiratory conditions are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
• RN Diploma is required.
• Current BCLS certificate.
• Previous nursing experience in rehabilitation is required.
• Experience with chronic respiratory conditions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-centered preventative, educational, restorative, and supportive care based on best evidence within full scope of practice.
• Apply the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for a rehabilitation population.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate ongoing learning and professional development; adapt to changing priorities and crises.
