Capilano University seeks an Early Childhood Educator for the North Vancouver Children’s Centre to care for and educate children aged 0–5 in a collaborative, inclusive setting. The role emphasizes well-being, belonging, and family engagement, with mentorship of practicum students and partnership with academic programs.

You will report to the Manager of the Children’s Centre and work 37.5 hours per week, with a schedule aligned to centre hours and occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Early Childhood Education diploma program.
• One year of directly related experience in a child care centre or related setting.
• Current Early Childhood Educator Certificate (ECE Registry of BC) and safety first-aid certification.

Responsabilités

• Organize and deliver programs and operations of the Child Care Centre.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for 0–5 year olds.
• Collaborate with Centre for Childhood Studies and faculty to inform curriculum.
• Mentor practicum students and supervise student observations.
• Maintain records, documents and communication with families and health authorities.
