Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education required.
• Current BC ECE certification required.
• FoodSafe certification required.
• At least 1 year experience with children aged 0–5.
• Experience working with parents/guardians.
• Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and community resources.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; culturally sensitive; collaborative and resourceful.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Class 5 driver's license.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and implement early learning programs in a play-based setting.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of StrongStart BC Early Learning programs as assigned.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support early learning initiatives.
• Maintain detailed daily records and prepare reports and work plans with the district.
• Encourage parent participation and assist referrals to community services.
• Support smooth transitions for families into kindergarten.
• Attend meetings as required.
