Job summary

Northern Health is seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Clerk to support the Nursing department. Under supervision, you will perform a variety of clerical duties related to the operation of a care area, including transcribing physicians’ orders and coordinating with other departments.

You will also handle visitor reception, phone calls, chart maintenance, data entry, and ensuring smooth communication within the unit.

Responsibilities

• Act as communication link for the unit, transcribing and processing physicians’ orders.
• Coordinate appointments, arrange tests and receive results; receive and direct visitors.
• Answer telephones, assemble and maintain charts, and perform keyboarding and data entry duties.
