Job summary

Northern Health Region, Manitoba is seeking a Registered Nurse for on-site hospital work across specialties including palliative care, pediatrics, and surgery. You will assist practitioners, monitor patients, document changes, and provide nursing care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and licensure eligibility, ACLS and CPR certifications, and 3–5 years of hospital experience, with on-site work only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ACLS and CPR certifications required.
• Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the province/territory of work.
• Experience: 3–5 years in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments.
• Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition.
• Address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
• Deliver health education programs.
• Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Provide nursing care.
• Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff.
• Perform administrative tasks.
