Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a licensed nurse to join our pharmacy team in Canada. The role focuses on vaccination services, health assessments, and patient education within a community pharmacy setting.

You will work closely with pharmacists to enhance our nursing services offering. Applicants must be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec and hold a DCS or bachelor's degree in nursing, with knowledge of the PIQ and travel health guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Be familiar with the PIQ (Protocole d’immunisation du Québec — Québec immunization protocol) and travel health.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and provide vaccines including influenza and travel vaccines.
• Identify appropriate vaccines based on travel destination and health status.
• Offer services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy guidance.
• Instruct patients on the use of glucose meters and blood pressure devices.
• Welcome patients professionally and collaborate with the pharmacy team to develop nursing services.
