Job summary
A residential treatment center in Southwestern Ontario is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide low-barrier addictions medicine care. The successful candidate will assess and manage clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Must have a Nursing degree, registration with the Ontario College of Nurses, and experience in community care. Competitive wages and professional development opportunities offered.
Qualifications
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as RN(EC) required.
Evidence of professional practice liability insurance required.
Demonstrated experience in Community and/or Primary Care Setting.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive care using advanced health assessment.
Assess and manage patients with addictions and co-existing health conditions.
Utilize evidence-based interventions for substance use disorders.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Health Act
