Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the Epilepsy Program at Vancouver General Hospital. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support complex care needs in the seizure investigation unit and epilepsy clinic.

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, initiate treatment and prescriptions where appropriate, and contribute to program development, training and research in neurology epilepsy.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with BCCNM.
• Prior NP experience is asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessment of patients and diagnose conditions.
• Initiate treatment and prescribe medications per standards.
• Provide guidance to other health professionals within interdisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with clients and other health professionals to identify trends in care.
• Develop population- and evidence-based strategies to improve health and participate in quality activities.
• Maintain professional development and active medical staff privileges.
