Job summary

Siemens Canada is hiring a night-shift machinist to support production of bus bars and sheet metal for electrical panels. You will read drawings, set up and operate CNC punch presses and other high-tech equipment, ensuring quality and precision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Fluency in French is required and relevant vocational certification in machining or sheet metal work is expected. The role offers night shift from midnight to 8 a.m. with competitive compensation and benefits.

What will you do?

• Read and interpret technical drawings from purchase orders or verbal instructions.
• Operate machine-tools to manufacture parts, as well as computer numerical control (CNC) tools.
• Operate high-tech digital and conventional equipment for the production of bus bars and sheet metal intended to be assembled inside electrical panels:
  • CNC punch press;
  • Automated storage system;
  • Adjustment and production of sheet metal parts.

WORK SHIFT: FROM MIDNIGHT TO 8 AM

What will you need to succeed?

• Available to work the night shift
• Vocational studies diploma in machining techniques or tin/sheet metal working, required.
• AVS in computer numerical control (CNC) machine-tool operation, an asset.
• All other diplomas or related equivalency will be considered
• Experience using tools in a plant.Methodical approach, speed of execution and concern for quality.
• Collaboration-oriented.
• Fluency in French language is required
