Job summary

Siemens Canada is seeking a skilled CNC operator to read drawings and manufacture parts for electrical panels. You will work with both digital and conventional equipment, including a CNC punch press and automated storage system, turning sheet metal into precise components.

The role emphasizes methodical performance, quality focus, and collaboration, with fluency in French a requirement. Evening shift from 4 PM to midnight supports our manufacturing operations across Canada.

Qualifications

• Vocational diploma in machining techniques or tin/sheet metal working.
• AVS in CNC machine-tool operation is an asset.
• Other diplomas or equivalency will be considered.
• Experience using tools in a plant.
• Methodical approach, speed, and quality focus.
• Team-oriented collaboration.
• Fluency in French required.

What will you do?

• Read and interpret technical drawings from purchase orders or verbal instructions.
• Operate machine-tools to manufacture parts, as well as computer numerical control (CNC) tools.
• Operate high-tech digital and conventional equipment for the production of bus bars and sheet metal intended to be assembled inside electrical panels:
• CNC punch press;
• Automated storage system;
• Adjustment and production of sheet metal parts.

WORK SHIFT: FROM 4 PM TO MIDNIGHT

What will you need to succeed?

• Available to work the evening shift
• Vocational studies diploma in machining techniques or tin/sheet metal working, required.
• AVS in computer numerical control (CNC) machine-tool operation, an asset.
• All other diplomas or related equivalency will be considered
• Experience using tools in a plant.
• Methodical approach, speed of execution and concern for quality.
• Collaboration-oriented.
• Fluency in French language is required
