Job summary

Siemens Canada is seeking a skilled machinist to read drawings and operate CNC punch presses and sheet metal equipment for electrical panel assemblies. You will work with high-tech machinery to produce bus bars and sheet metal components, ensuring accuracy and quality on a manufacturing line.

The position requires a vocational diploma in machining and fluency in French, with the evening shift from 4 PM to midnight. AVS CNC experience is a plus, and a collaborative mindset is essential.

  • Vocational studies diploma in machining techniques or tin/sheet metal working.
  • AVS in CNC machine-tool operation is an asset.
  • Experience using tools in a plant.
  • Methodical approach, speed of execution and concern for quality.
  • Fluency in French language is required.”

What will you do?
  • Read and interpret technical drawings from purchase orders or verbal instructions.
  • Operate machine-tools to manufacture parts, as well as computer numerical control (CNC) tools.
  • Operate high-tech digital and conventional equipment for the production of bus bars and sheet metal intended to be assembled inside electrical panels:
    • CNC punch press;
    • Automated storage system;
    • Adjustment and production of sheet metal parts.
WORK SHIFT: FROM 4 PM TO MIDNIGHT
What will you need to succeed?
  • Available to work the evening shift
  • Vocational studies diploma in machining techniques or tin/sheet metal working, required.
  • AVS in computer numerical control (CNC) machine-tool operation, an asset.
  • All other diplomas or related equivalency will be considered
  • Experience using tools in a plant.
  • Methodical approach, speed of execution and concern for quality.
  • Collaboration-oriented.
  • Fluency in French language is required
