Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Engineering Director for the Pickering SGR program. You will oversee planning, readiness, and delivery across multiple sites, ensuring a consistent execution methodology and strong governance. The role requires 15+ years in construction/engineering with nuclear industry insight.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, manage contracts and risks, and collaborate with clients, JV partners, and regulators to secure safe, reliable power delivery.

Qualifications

• 15+ years leading or supporting construction, manufacturing, or engineering services projects.
• BSc in Engineering or equivalent is an asset.
• PMP certification is an asset.
• Nuclear design and construction experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning and execution with comprehensive construction plans, budgets, timelines, and site strategies.
• Build and lead a high-performing construction management team and coordinate with JV partners, suppliers, and client reps.
• Oversee personnel development, staffing, training, and labour relations alignment for readiness and compliance.
• Manage contract administration, change management, risk assessment, and governance adherence.
• Enforce nuclear and industrial safety protocols and drive quality assurance across all site activities.
• Establish KPIs and robust reporting for progress, productivity, and cost performance.
• Oversee procurement and supply chain to ensure timely material flow for milestones.
• Serve as primary liaison for client, JV partners, and regulatory bodies; maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with ethics, safety standards, labour agreements, and security clearance protocols.
