Job summary

Kinectrics is seeking an Engineer/Scientist (Piping and Mechanical Design) in Saint John, NB. Permanent, intermediate/senior level, reporting to the Section Manager, with 40 hours/week in a design engineering and services department.

The role involves mechanical/nuclear design, life-cycle planning, and field support within a multi-disciplinary team at the Saint John East office. DEI commitments are highlighted in company messaging.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Nuclear engineering activities including piping and process systems design and related specs.
• Knowledge of valves, flanges, fittings, pumps and heat exchangers for nuclear/class 1/2/3 and conventional systems.
• Familiarity with design calculations, system hydraulics and HVAC balance.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering analyses for nuclear power plants and designs, incl. small modular and advanced reactors.
• Provide field support and implement design modifications in projects.
• Develop life cycle plans including inspection and test programs.
• Ensure design complies with engineering change control procedures and client requirements.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders through project lifecycle.
