The Opportunity

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the entire routine imaging process, including patient reception, radiopharmaceutical preparation, imaging, data processing, and quality control, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. The role involves providing diagnostic images, consulting with Radiologists, maintaining accurate records, and practicing good patient care.


Hours of Work

7:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour shifts.


Your Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized school of imaging technology.
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine (RTNM) certification required; training in CT and/or MRI is an asset.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensing by the NS College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCIMRTP).
  • Current Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada BLS certification or successful completion of a BLS Renewal Challenge.
  • Experience with pediatric Nuclear Medicine preferred.
  • Knowledge of CNSC Rules and Regulations for Nuclear Medicine safety.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Decision-making, interpretation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in other languages is an asset.
