Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Technical Engineering Manager - Licensing for a full-time regular position to provide technical management of licensing activities for a new build Nuclear Power Plant project in Canada. The role operates in a matrix organization and reports to the Licensing Engineering Director.

The candidate will lead engineering teams, interface with clients, and contribute to commercial proposals, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

10 years licensing experience in a nuclear project environment.
Registered Professional Engineer in a Canadian province or eligible to obtain within 6 months of hiring.
Thorough knowledge of Codes and Standards used in NPP licensing in Canada, the USA and the EU.
Thorough understanding of Canadian nuclear licensing regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical management of individuals and teams executing commercial and internal work packages within a matrix organization.
Approve technical documents prepared by staff under them.
Plan and execute work to meet quality, cost and schedule requirements.
Remove barriers to meet project deliverables and priorities.
Provide technical advice to staff and SME to management.
Participate in preparation of commercial proposals and approve technical content.
Forecast resource demands for the assigned work scope, including skills and durations.
Interface with clients to deliver engineering products per customer specifications and requirements.
Collaborate with marketing and other groups to maintain and improve client relationships.
