Job summary

Aecon Concessions in Pickering, ON, is seeking an Electrical Technologist to support the CanAtom joint venture on the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on MCR project Weld Tooling, install, repair and troubleshoot welding tools, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate has at least four years in machining/fabrication, a graduate in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical, strong schematics knowledge,

Qualifications

• Graduate in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical program or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in machining/fabricating.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical schematics and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with maintenance, disassembly/assembly of equipment and umbilical assemblies.
• Knowledge of Liburdi welding systems is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on MCR project Weld Tooling.
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot welding tools.
• Develop tooling maintenance procedures for varied equipment sets.
• Coordinate activities to ensure site readiness prior to mobilization.
• Maintain regular hands-on support for tooling maintenance and repair.
• Manage spare tooling inventory and procurement as needed.
• Ensure tooling configurations meet operation requirements.
• Record preventative maintenance on tooling.
• Participate in tooling troubleshooting as required.
• Report tooling issues to supervision.
