Job summary

Teknion Corporation is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for New Product Introduction in Concord, Ontario. You will lead cross-functional teams to ready facilities, manage APQP data, and coordinate tooling and new components for production launches.

The role requires mechanical engineering education, 5–12 years’ experience in design/manufacturing, and travel as needed. Strong project management and ISO 9001 knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• 5–12 years of engineering experience in product design and manufacturing.
• Demonstrated project management skills and training.
• Excellent communication, organization, leadership, decision making and time management skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and ability to travel locally/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant focused, multi-disciplined teams to prepare facilities for new products.
• Generate and maintain information required by APQP team (MRP, new tools, vendor data, quality requirements).
• Support facility engineers, purchasers, and supervisors in new product implementation.
• Initiate capital acquisition requests for tooling; track development from first-off to production.
• Ensure quality requirements are understood and implemented with supply chain; approve new components.
• Collaborate with design and facility engineering to finalize engineering drawings for manufacturing.
