Job summary

Nunavut Housing Corporation in Nunavut communities seeks multiple full-time Housing Managers to lead Local Housing Organizations. You will oversee day-to-day operations, asset management, budgeting, and compliance while delivering culturally responsive housing services to northern communities.

Reporting to the LHO Board, you will supervise staff, manage finances, and engage with partners to support housing needs. A strong background in property management and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in property management and/or housing maintenance.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong financial management skills including budgeting and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of Nunavut ISV is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise LHO staff across maintenance, tenant relations, administration, and board support.
• Manage and maintain public housing assets within budget constraints.
• Oversee budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll monitoring, invoices and financial reporting.
• Develop annual operating and capital budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with the Management Agreement and NHC programs and policies.
• Ensure fair housing allocation per approved policies and priority systems.
• Oversee tenant relations, tenancy agreements, rent assessments and disputes.
• Advise the Board on operational, financial, policy and allocation matters.
• Act as secretary to the Board, prepare minutes and required documentation.
• Manage personnel functions and staff development.
• Engage with community and external partners to support housing needs.
