Job summary

Nunavut Housing Corporation seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager/Foreperson to lead maintenance operations in multiple Nunavut communities.You will supervise crews, plan preventative maintenance, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality in line with Inuit values.

Required journeyperson certification and five years of supervisory maintenance experience, with strong Excel and administrative skills to prepare scopes, estimates, and invoices.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Certification in a relevant residential or commercial trade and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Minimum five years’ journeyperson experience with five years supervising maintenance teams.
• Experience supervising crews of five or more workers in maintenance/construction.
• Strong admin skills: Excel, invoicing, estimating jobs, scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory leadership and technical expertise to maintenance staff and supervisors.
• Plan and administer preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
• Oversee minor O&M-funded projects and monitor client capital projects.
• Conduct semi-annual inspections and update maintenance plans as required.
• Manage inventory, materials, and annual major resupply orders.
• Plan budgets and report on operating and capital expenditures.
