Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Alberta's northern region is seeking a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) to provide frontline emergency care across High Level and Rainbow Lake. You’ll assess scenes, transport patients, and deliver BLS, working in demanding conditions with remote travel.

This role requires non-restricted PCP registration with ACOP, BCLS CPR, a Class 4 driver's licence with clean abstract, and FIT to perform full duties on start.

Qualifications

• Non-restricted PCP registration with ACOP in good standing.
• Current BCLS/CPR certification.
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Driver's Licence with 5-year abstract (≤6 demerits).
• F.A.R.E. test completed within 6 months if not in a clinical position.
• Qualified to perform full operational duties on start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency scenes and patients; transport as needed.
• Provide BLS care including basic medications and defibrillation.
• Ensure ambulances and NET units are stocked and ready.
• Work in demanding, remote northern settings across High Level and Rainbow Lake.
