Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) for the Milk River Health Centre to assess emergencies and transport patients as needed. You will operate ambulances, lead BLS crews, and ensure equipment is ready for service.

This role involves travel to remote locations and exposure to challenging conditions. A valid PCP registration, BCLS CPR, and class 4 license are required, with a competitive salary and full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Non-restricted registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) CPR certification.
• Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence, or equivalent, with up-to-date driving abstract (5-year, max 6 demerits).
• Proof of successful completion of the F.A.R.E. test is required for applicants without a current clinical EHS position.

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency scenes and patients and transport ill or injured patients between facilities.
• Operate ambulances or other transport modes and lead BLS crews when delivering care.
• Ensure ambulances and NET units are stocked and equipped per standards.
• Work in demanding environments with exposure to weather and hazardous scenes.
