Job summary

Cypress Mountain is seeking a Nordic School Groups & Lessons Coordinator to help manage school group bookings, lesson schedules, and daily logistics for Nordic programs. You will work closely with the Nordic Ski School Manager to ensure smooth operations for guests and teams.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in a coordinative role, strong communication, and a passion for helping guests enjoy winter activities at Cypress Mountain.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in supervisory or coordinator role; hospitality or guest service experience is an asset.
• Commitment to providing a friendly, welcoming guest experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient guest service and information on Nordic programs.
• Coordinate group bookings, lesson schedules, and payments.

Help bring the magic of winter to life in the Nordic Area at Cypress Mountain. As our Nordic School Groups & Lessons Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences for school groups and lesson guests enjoying cross-country skiing, snow tubing, and snowshoeing.
Working closely with our Nordic Ski School Manager, you’ll coordinate group bookings, lesson schedules, and daily logistics to keep everything running smoothly for both guests and our team. We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and proactive team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping people of all ages get outside and experience the trails at Cypress.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to the following):

• Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate guest service.
• Provide information on Nordic programs, tickets, passes, rentals, facilities, and operating hours.
• Respond promptly and professionally to phone and email inquiries.
• Maintain accurate group bookings, client communications, payments, and records.
• Coordinate group bookings and communicate details to organizers and relevant departments.
• Ensure school group organizers understand program details and arrive prepared.
• Promote school group programs and maximize available booking opportunities.
• Follow established booking policies and ensure timely payment.
• Assist with group and lesson check-in, including greeting and escorting groups.
• Support the Nordic Ski School Manager with administrative tasks, Health & Safety paperwork, training logs, Flaik scheduling, and other duties as required.
• Assist Guest Services with ticket sales, inquiries, and other front-line support as needed.
• Address guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized office and encourage the same among the team.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

• 1+ years’ experience in a supervisory or coordinator role; customer service or hospitality experience is an asset.
• Commitment to providing guests with a friendly, welcoming, and positive experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records, bookings, and payments.
• Comfortable working with booking systems, Microsoft Office, and other computer programs.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with dynamic teams in the Nordic area and across various resort departments.
• Interest in learning and maintaining knowledge of Cypress’ Nordic trail and snowshoe networks, facilities, and programs.
• Comfortable communicating with school groups, organizers, and a wide range of guests.
• Previous experience coordinating group bookings, programs, or events is an asset.
• Ability to ski and/or guide snowshoe groups on busy days is an asset, but not required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 1+ years’ experience in a supervisory or coordinator role; customer service or hospitality experience is an asset.
• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Previous experience working in a mountain environment an asset.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Able to legally work in Canada.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable/insured vehicle with winter tires to get to/from work (shift start/end times are outside shuttle bus hours).
