Job summary

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures for water, waste, and gas systems.

Job Summary

Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Diagnose issues, perform installations and testing, and ensure all work meets applicable codes and safety standards.

Main Duties

Install, assemble, and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures, and related plumbing equipment for water, waste, and gas systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing malfunctions, perform repairs or replacements, and test systems for leaks and proper operation. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building code requirements to determine installation and repair procedures. Perform pressure tests, inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure system integrity and longevity. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to schedule work, obtain materials, and communicate project status. Maintain tools and equipment, keep accurate work records, and complete required job documentation.

Requirements

Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or formal trade training, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum two years of hands‑on experience installing and repairing plumbing systems in residential or commercial environments. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and apply relevant building code requirements. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform manual tasks safely. Strong commitment to workplace safety, use of personal protective equipment, and hazard awareness.
