Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in social services or certification in security is required.
• Minimum three years of demonstrated experience working with older adults and/or seniors with mental health, addictions issues, and street involvement.
• Ability to interact effectively with high risk, marginalized, and vulnerable individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provides reception services to staff and residents living in the supportive housing program.
• Ensures the safety of the building and its occupants after regular business hours.
• Monitors activities in the common areas and responds to emergencies and resident alarms.
• Implements crisis response strategies, including de-escalation and after-hours counseling.
• Completes hourly rounds and prepares detailed shift logs.
