Job summary

Modine in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Night Shift Assembly Technician to safely operate power tools and assemble wall and roof panels for commercial and industrial customers. The role requires overhead crane and forklift awareness, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Responsibilities include cutting insulation, welding Z-bars, crane operation, and collaborating with Leads to maintain standard procedures and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently use various power tools such as a drill, impact gun, grinder, and rivet gun.
• Assemble wall and roof panels by operating the hydraulic clinchers.
• Cut insulation using engineered jigs.
• Tack Weld Z-bars to roof panels with a wire feed welding machine.
• Operate overhead cranes to transport finished goods from tables into the assembly carts.
• Partner with the Lead Hand to meet standard operation procedures in order to accomplish our quality standard, including accurately maintaining inventory controls.
• Employee is responsible to perform the above mentioned, and any other tasks assigned to them in a safe manner and in accordance with our Health & Safety Policies, JHA's & SWP's.
• Employee is responsible to understand and follow all Company Policies and Rules.
