Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a Welder I for a night shift position in Canada. You will perform basic welding tasks, read blueprints, and operate a welding robot under supervision to assemble and fabricate metal components.

The role requires reading specifications, following SOPs, and maintaining quality with minimal supervision, while lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance and coordinating with team members.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass internal weld test.
• Able to read and understand blueprints and work orders.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Experience with 5S/Lean manufacturing is a plus.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane with training.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow job orders, drawings, or blueprints.
• Independently weld multiple parts accurately with minimal supervision.
• Execute high‑quality welds per standards and tolerances.
• Set up welding equipment according to material properties.
• Locate drawings and specifications for reference as needed.
• Operate preprogrammed welding robot.
• Follow SOPs and safety regulations.
• Maintain pace with precision and minimal errors.
